The transformation of Pine Creek Golf Club is underway. The father-son duo of J.T Haugen and Tom Haugen bought Pine Creek in April 2021 and have immediately upgraded the facility and course to make a destination course to play while in North Iowa.

The Haugen's purchased the nearly 60 year old course and immediately focused on what they could do to improve the overall golf experience. Tom Haugen, an accomplished course architect, builder, and course owner throughout his career. He has designed and built courses in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin as well as led a project to build a 45-hole course that was located at a vacation resort on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. Tom grew up in nearby Forest City, Iowa. Later on in his career he would have the opportunity to get back to his hometown to redesign the back 9 holes at Bear Creek Golf Course.
The course itself isn't the only thing that has seen some major changes and upgrades. The clubhouse has gone through a complete remodel and the food and beverage options have expanded to make Pine Creek a great destination for groups large or small. An outdoor patio has been added where golfers can enjoy the beautiful setting with a bite to eat and a cold beverage after a round. The indoor bar and seating area is now the perfect place to add up all those birdies on the scorecard or just kick back and watch a game or tournament on tv.
